As I'm now a teaching assistant and I'm getting one step closer to my dream of being a full time teacher, I would like to tell you my story. But before I do I would like to tell you my feelings about life.
Life is like steps.
Steps to success or the future you desire.
This life has 4 steps.
1st step -Life is just beginning, pressure is on to know what you want to do in the future but you have friends and family to guide you the whole way through.
2nd step- 6th form or college or apprenticeship, some know what their doing, some don't. But this is the moment that you must know what you want to do for the rest of your life and the pressure really begins to build.
3rd step- university or job. Its up to you
4th step- you embrace it with open arms, as the dream has begun. When the 4th step comes you love every day cause you love what you are doing. I'm at step number 4.
NOW!
Here's my story.
1st step- Primary school, I wasn't worried about the future. All I was doing was having fun and making lots of friends. I was bullied during primary school, but I stood up for myself and my friends helped me to get through it. Secondary school, this is were I started to dream of what I wanted to do in the future. I saw my first art teacher Miss Gammel and she inspired me to become a teacher. Then I told Head of Art, Mrs Tatum what I wanted to do. I gained a role model for life, Mrs Tatum. and to this day she still supports me. Both these teachers will always be my favourite. GCSEs, were hard I lost someone and I felt like my life was going down hill. But I just remembered there were others in my shoes and I got a lot of support from friends and family to Help me get to my dream.
Step 2-I don't really know why but during this step I had a lot of depression. I did get through 6thform though and made the best decision of my life, to go to university.
Step 3-university and job, during university, I had my fair share of jobs and work experience. I started my first year of university at Aberystwyth. Everything was new and exciting. 1st year, I was trying things out and get used to living independantly. 2nd year, it hit me that this year count towards my final grade, but I got through it. I also gained a lot of new friends that I will never forget. I got my heart broken but I realise I was better off without them. 3rd year, was my final year this is where my life began. I graduated and had to get one step closer to the final step.
Step 4- My dream has begun, I'm a teaching assistant at a secondary school. I'm one step closer to being a teacher and I love it. Find a job you love and you will never of worked a day.
Here is some of my favourite artwork from my life.
