Day 10 of Lock down

today i really struggled.

It took me back to when i used to feel anxious about being home alone when i was trying to find a job.

I am really missing being active all day and being at work with my work family. However i have had Disney movie marathon day and the cats always help when it comes to cheering me up.

We just have to believe the days will get better and i went to go sit in the garden and work this afternoon but it rained.

Suppose that's my own fault as i keep saying it needs to rain for some people to take this seriously and stay indoors.

But anyways as requested here is chapter 9 of the explosion

Chapter 10

A pack.

Followed, all crumbling towards them ready to bring the town down.

On their way there, a pack of zombies had followed them. Coming down the tunnel you could hear a ‘RAWR!’ and teeth clattering noises. As if every zombie and creature was on the hunt.

The tunnel began to make the earth shake, underneath everyone’s feet.

At the hearing of the rumbling everyone begun to run.

For this town was no longer cured.

The cure had been faked. Lavender and the others ran out of the hospital heading for Sam’s home.

A crowd of zombies came appearing out of the tunnel and rampaged through the town, climbing over each other, one by one. Tearing people into shreds.

If they were bitten, they were either dead or immediately turned into a zombie.

As the flesh-eating people caught up with Sam and the others.

They began to reach the step of the mansion. Louie and the others went around the back. Sam tried knocking hoping her mother had survived all this chaos.

Lavender looked up at the balcony above the door and climbed up there but just as she reached down for Sam. She realised she was reaching down to mouths, opening and shutting wanting her blood more than anyone else’s. She clenched her hand back upwards towards her chest.

She looked at the balcony doors, took a breath, and walked through.

As she walked through the doors, Sam and her mother were standing there and Steven stood behind her. She told Sam go and stand in another room whilst lavender and her mother spoke. Sam went and sat on the bed of her mothers’ room.

Steven then grabbed lavender she felt tired and worn down, her wound was back and she was very tired.

She almost collapsed into Stevens arms. He sat her down on a chair and held her there. When she yelled for Sam Steven covered her mouth with a bit of cloth.

Then Sam’s mother begun to look closer and as she got closer to lavender, she realised she was no longer alive.

None of the lights were working, so it was very dark. Her skin looked grey and green, her eyes were red. As, she lent forward one of her eyes popped out of its socket and she popped it back in then smiled. The perfect dead, still alive, talking and walking but wanting nothing but flesh.

Lavender tried her hardest to keep eye contact with the mistress. But she was very tired. The mistress begun to explain that she was the one who caused the apocalypse, unveiling her plan like the villain in a bad superhero movie.

“I’m doing it for my daughter. I want us to live forever. Sam come out here please and go stand on the balcony, don’t worry nothing will hurt you.” She said lavender was unable to speak from the pain, so Sam just did as she was told, she was afraid. So, she decided to be brave and believe her mother.

The zombies were no longer moving or making noises, as if waiting for command, but they were all standing underneath the balcony looking up.

Sam stood with Steven outside.

Whilst outside, the mistress gave lavender a rendition of her plans that “I am going to bite Sam and then Sam will feast on you and Steven as her first meal.”

Lavender was not going to let this happen. Adrenaline begun to pulse through her veins. I am not going to die and let this world crumble, she thought.

As she went outside to do as planned. Louie came out of hiding and handed lavender a machine gun. Lavender said to Louie.

“if I survive this, we are all going to India”.

“why India?” replied Louie.

“because it’s the only place that I think everyone could have survived this. You go to the shop opposite town and drive away some of the zombies and I will meet you there.”

“but lavender…”

“I have to do this and you can not stop me!” lavender said before exiting the house to the balcony, with Steven.

She held the machine gun out in front of her and pointed it at the doors. She pushed the doors open with the tip of her gun. As they walked through, Sam was on the right of the balcony and her mother was on the left. Lavender pointed her gun at the mistress’s head. Sam had been running away from her mother not wanting to be bitten. Before Sam or the mistress could say anything. The mistress had a bullet in her head, she fell to the zombies below. Then lavender took a sign and put down the gun and turned around to hug Sam.

Just after, they heard a scream from a pick up truck and the truck came whizzing past towards the town.

“WoooooHoooooo!”

They had to jump the balcony, so that they could leave and join the others. Steven decided to stay behind and clear up some of the stranglers.

Sam and Lavender had to jump.

They jumped and ran as fast as they could…

They ran into the shop where they would meet the others and they locked the door behind them. Just the two of them were in there though. The others were leading away some zombies first.

They put a piece of wood through the handles of the doors. Lavender told Sam to ‘Hide!’ she held a gun to the door, waiting for Sam to hide and as the doors burst open, she kept on firing until the bullets ran out.

She begun to feel numb halfway through.

Her bullets ran out as one zombie was left. But as it stepped in.

BANG! Louie stood behind it and shot it in the back of the head. Lavender then collapsed into Louie’s arms and slowly began to collapse.

“when you wake up you will be in India. “He said to her.
