Very tired after 4 days worth of work from home. However a benefit is I got to do some work in my nice warm dressing gown this morning, Plus be able to listen to music all day either from my phone or laptop. At around 12 I went for my nice 1 mile run in the sun. Its funny how during Isolation we get the best weather ever. I carried on working until 3.20.
Wrote well this blog and after this I am going to sit in the garden on a blanket and write in my becoming book I got for Xmas. It is good to enjoy the sun during this time.
But anyways as promised here is chapter 6.
Chapter 6
Once Ricky had finished hugging lavender.
Lavender asked if he was ok. If he was hurt?
He shook his head in reply.
She said ‘how long have you been here?’
‘A few hours.’ He said.
They both prepared to leave the room to look for Sam anywhere. They didn’t know she had left the building. Untouched by the monsters she had run from. They couldn’t find her anywhere. Therefore, with no hope left, they found a way out instead. Once they got out and locked the door behind themselves. They turned around to an army of guns. They both put their hands in the air immediately. Dropping anything in their hands.
However, a lady came out of the crowd and picked up what they dropped.
She wore a black suit not an army uniform. She asked the two them to step aside whilst they pursue the building for survivors. However, lavender refused to move in fact when she spoke, she spoke loud for everyone to hear.
“I am not letting you in this building, I can confirm there are no survivors and if you go in all you will do is traumatize yourselves.”
The lady in front of lavender, sighed , as if disappointed. She probably had very little hope left at the sight of finding survivors. She turned around and said
“lower your guns and stand down. There is conform. There is no survivors. We must move on.”
All the soldiers lowered their guns and stood up. Beginning to walk over to the pickup trucks waiting for them. One was left empty for lavender and Ricky to have.
They were told to drive far away from this place. Lavender sked a lot of questions before they left ‘who started the war?’ ‘why did they start it?’ ‘How did the bomb go off?’ all which were answered with ‘that’s confidential miss!’
However, they were warned to stay away from the big green monster, they were not sure what that meant.
They both got in the pickup truck and set off on their look for Sam. She must be so afraid all alone out there.
Now we switch to where Sam really is. In a red Lamborghini. One of which was driven by the man at the beginning of the book practicing for the apocalypse.
Back…
Lavender is driving the pickup truck through a forest. In the distance she sees a crowd of zombies crowding around a tree she looks at Ricky, next to her then looks up.
She stops and revs the engine inches away from them. She opens the back shutter. Then revs the engine a bit more to distract the zombies.
They turn their way.
In the tree is a girl scrambling up for her life. She hears the car and stops dead in the tree.
With the zombies facing the car.
“Brace yourself!” lavender says to Ricky.
Before planting her foot straight on the gas.
“Here we Go!” she yells.
As she drives through the crowd. She yells ‘jump!’ as the back of the pick up truck is underneath the girl in the tree.
The girl jumps…
Lavender passes her back a gun and says ‘it’s for the stragglers aim for the head’.
There is only a few she has to shot then she can relax.
Lavender is heading in a direction, the right direction. Towards a mansion were her old boyfriend was. Its safe, well safe enough. Her boyfriend told her something and made her think it was the best place to be at this time.
‘ In the end, this will be the safest place, let nature lead you hear and never stop running!’
