My goss working from home is difficult. Unfortunately I will be working at home alone soon, as my dads been called into work. Things are gonna get lonely but I will still keep up my healthy routine of eating healthy and running every day. I'm gonna have to cook dinner from now onwards.
I knew this virus would make things difficult but not this difficult. however, I am very happy with my health as since I have been off I have managed to loose 7 pounds in weight. I am very proud of this.
But lets move on swiftly, as promised here is a chapter of the short story the explosion.
Chapter 7
All set up in the mansion, Lavender had found a few sleeping bags. She searched the kitchen, there was enough canned food to last them a lifetime. But they were not staying there. Just Four days.
Four days…
To make a plan
To save the world, maybe…
The next day they were sat in the living room. They heard gun shots outside. They all stood in front of the door. Lavender and the new girl Lizzy held a gun up to the door.
Five people came running in and locked the door behind them. One of them looked like a cowboy, the others were a small girl, a young man and a young woman.
They all turned around to face the three of them.
They would not put their guns down until they knew, they weren’t a threat. Neither of them would.
However, when the small girl turned around lavender opened her arms widely only to find it was Sam she was about to hug. She was so relieved to of found Sam safe and sound. However, she raised her gun once again at the people behind her.
“Who the hell are you?” she said, blood was now seeping through lavender’s top.
The cowboy looked at Penny’s top, she explained that in the bunker that she was in a day ago the ceiling fell on her.
The cowboy nodded.
Then he said “My name is Louie; this is Ellie and Donald and who are you lot?” he says gesturing towards the two people next to them with the shot gun in his hand. The girl abruptly put her finger on the end of it and shoved it down to the floor. Telling him ‘if you ever put that in my face again you will be shot dead yourself by me!’. He went all wide eyed and kept the trigger on the ground. No one was sure if she was joking or not.
Lavender and Lizzy soon followed, (without fear) introduced themselves and let the others set up camp with them. They all sat in the living room. The girls Sam and Ellie and lavender’s son Ricky went to look for bedrooms to sleep in.
They found some and all went to bed to get some well-deserved rest. During the night everyone swore they could hear a baby crying.
Lavender lye on the bed.
She sat up to redress her wound. She then collapsed backwards onto the bed. She begun to feel numb, all she could feel was a huge lump on her stomach. The wound had its own heartbeat.
Thump, thump, thump…
She could feel it. As she drifted off to sleep, she imagined walking the corridors of the house. She woke up standing downstairs. Lavender would often sleep walk when she was stressed. She would often use a scary looking China doll or teddy bear to hide stressed out notes inside then she would hide the doll or teddy somewhere. In order to keep all the stress away from herself.
She woke and as she did, she decides to sleep on the sofa downstairs. She starred at the portrait above the fireplace. Hoping the boredom of her ex's face would make her fall asleep. She hated that portrait, he had a beard, she didn’t like it when they were dating, she made him shave it off. He wore a royal blue suit and matching tie and black shirt. His fingers were placed on a bee botch as if showing it off.
But she looked at it closely there was something inside it; a curled piece of paper, a note. He always wore it, said ‘it’s worth millions and that it would be left to me one day.’
However, lavender then had a thought if he was so prepared for the end of the world then where was he.
Then they heard a scream come from the very top floor.
“Ahhhhhhh!”
Here is the development of the illustration for this chapter.
